Though her biggest ambition is to be a Homeschool Superhero making sure the world knows homeschooling is an educational option with Flash Gordon speed, Mae busies herself in the meantime as Director of Strategic Initiatives for the Academy of Arts & Sciences, raising four children, being a wife and investing in Advil. Originally from the Philippines, she relocated to Guam at 2 years of age and then moved to California when she was in high school. Mae received her B.A in Communicative Disorders from San Diego State University with a minor in Psychology and her M.A. in Special Education from Cal State University, Northridge with an emphasis on Language Delays and Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
Mae has been married 24 years and homeschooled her children, taught college students, acted as as an educational consultant for several of the large educational publishing companies, run her owned businesses, worked as an Educational Facilitator/Specialist for other charters and has taught general education students as well as gifted, highly gifted, twice exceptional, autistic, deaf and hard of hearing children. Mae also helped develop and direct other homeschool charter programs in Southern California.
