K-5 Home Study Curriculum

The Home Study option is for the parent who seeks to be very actively involved in all aspects of their child’s daily education. Parents should be fully committed to:

  • creating a compelling learning environment
  • selecting appropriate curriculum
  • to providing challenging lessons

AAS will support parents and scholars by providing a Home Study study option that includes:

- credentialed Educational Facilitators

- a wide range of approved vendors for parent choice

- competitive instructional funds to support instruction

- a subscription package of online supplemental learning

With the help of caring, credentialed Educational Facilitators (EF), we offer flexibility in how families educate their scholars and what curriculum is used. Our EFs provide support in academic guidance, parent support and instruction and guidance with state compliance. Both the scholar and the parent work with their assigned credentialed Educational Facilitator (EF) to develop an educational plan based on the family’s educational philosophy and scholar’s learning style.

Our Home Study scholars in grades K-5 receive instructional funds that are set aside for each scholar to use towards the purchase of approved, non-sectarian educational materials, curriculum, and services.  Each scholar is allocated $2,700. Parents, EF’s, and scholars work together to make purchasing decisions based on scholar’s goals, learning styles and academic progress.   Funds may be used for core curriculum as well as enrichment.
