Biography: I am an Educational Facilitator (EF) for the Academy of Arts and Sciences Charter School (AAS), serving over 2,000 scholars throughout the State of California. I am a part of the Home Study branch. In my role as EF, I provide academic guidance to Home Study scholars in grades TK through 12th grade as well as providing instructional, operational, and purchasing support to their learning coaches. I also work collaboratively with the staff in fulfilling our responsibilities for the scholars we serve.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree from Biola University in Liberal Studies with an emphasis in Elementary Education. I also completed a Biology minor, because I love science! I have my Master of Arts in Education with an emphasis in Autism. I earned my preliminary teaching credential in 2007 and earned my CLEAR CA teaching credential through UCSD in 2011.
I started my teaching career as a substitute teacher and then taught 7th and 8th grade science for 4 years in Santa Ana. I moved on to teach 2nd grade for an additional 4 years in Anaheim at Fairmont Private School.
I live in Orange with my wonderful husband, Ryan and my adorable son Carter who just turned 3 months at the start of this school year! I love living in California because of the exquisite weather and diverse topography.
